Add an LLM provider key, pick a model, and configure automatic metadata.
Optional. Fills document metadata (title, date, type, path, tags, custom properties) after text is extracted.
Setup
- Add a provider key in Settings → Providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or Mistral). Same Mistral key works for OCR too.
- In Settings → AI, pick provider and model (Recommended or a specific model id), Test connection, Save.
Provider APIs are paid and metered.
Assignment rules
Per workspace (owner or admin). Enable each field you want filled: document type, storage path, tags, title, document date, or custom properties.

| Suggest | Proposes a value; you accept or dismiss. |
| Apply | Writes the value directly. |
Tags can allow new so the model creates tags outside your existing list. Start with Suggest, switch to Apply when you trust the results.
